While these sports games are meant to be easy to pick up and play, even for those who don’t typically play games often, they are all not only unique but have depth and tactics hidden under the surface for more dedicated players to uncover the longer you play. My least favourites have to be the Golf tracks. My favourite tracks are: Baseball Training, Tennis Results and Boxing Results. In conclusion, the Wii Sports soundtrack is pretty good. It's just the title theme with the intro cut off again. Yeah, it worked better at the original pitch. It's just the title theme with no intro at a different pitch. Sounds like the great bowling music with a hint of crappy golf music. They are all copies of other tracks basically. Probably would've worked better with tennis.Īlso sounds like a sports news intro. Short, somewhat catchy, but it doesn't fit very well with the other tracks. Not gonna lie, the bit at the end before it loops sounds like a jammed printer, but it's easy to ignore. On a side note, the riffs sound a bit like part of the title theme. You've got some cool e-guitar sounding tracks, but then you've got twinkly sound effects layered on top. Ok, what the hell is this? It sounds similar to the round start, but then you've got some weird a** sound effect over the top. Sounds like a toned down version of the THX theme. You've got something that sounds like it would be at a rock music concert, but then you've got twinkly beats over it. Ok, so some of the tracks here have pretty weird sound effects. It's better than the select course though. Yeah, I'd rather not be reminded of that Nintendo. Pretty lame, and like with bowling, they don't fit with the other tracks. It's not boppy, it's not interesting, it's not memorable.īasically just the riff from the channel intro in boring golf form. Golf is boring on it's own Nintendo! Surely you didn't have to make the tracks just as boring. Somehow this always makes me feel tense when doing bowling training.

You can also hear the guitar chords near the beginning are quite similar to those in the title theme. They're ok I guess, but they don't really fit with the country music style. I honestly thought they would've done like smooth piano music in the background or a quiet pop track (I mean, they always have pop music at bowling alleys). Staccato beats work really well for this. Now I don't normally like country music or acoustic songs, but bowling actually has some great tracks. It's much longer than some of the other songs too, which I like. It honestly sounds like an 80s song or something. Pretty nostalgic and somehow fits really well with the sport of baseball. Sounds very different to the other baseball tracks, probably because it was added on the re-release of the game one year or so after the initial release. Literally sound like something you would hear at a fairground or something, like when you win one of those carnival games (like the one where you knock down the clowns.) Some of them sound like circus/fairground tunes, some of them sound like they were played on the galactic horn from Wii Music, and one of them is flat out a fanfare. It has a sorta carnival or party vibe to it. Pretty much a sped up version of the results theme with a little extra something. It's really nostalgic and just has a good feel. It's similar to the title theme, but remixed in a way that you wouldn't notice it at first. It's fast-paced, fun and you got the little jingle based on the title theme.ĭefinitely one of my favourites. The tennis tracks are easily the least differentiated from the title theme. How would you describe the tennis music style? It's got a tribal or carnival sounding drum beat, but then it's layered with a piano-sounding melody and twinkly sound effects. I didn't even notice that it existed for years. Why did they remove these in WSR? (It's because there's different results themes dependent on whether you win or lose, but still.) I think it works better with just one results theme and these little jingles. Pretty much follows the beat from the title theme.

Kinda bland, but most people skip it anyways. It's not that interesting, but it's ok I guess.

Like the main piano-sounding tune is similar to the tennis results theme, and you can sorta hear an acoustic guitar from bowling, as well as other elements from other sports. I noticed that if you listen carefully, you can hear elements from the different music styles heard in each sport. It also has good texture (lots of layers).
